We are committed to helping our city flourish and make it a great destination to live. To help maintain and improve our local destinations, we provide grants every year to area cultural attractions.

We support nine nonprofit organizations that provide cultural opportunities in the greater Milwaukee area. Several of our grant recipients include:

  • Betty Brinn Children’s Museum – Dedicated to providing educational resources that promote healthy development of children and families, the museum partnership will support the Family Focus program, Neighborhood Nights and the Know & Grow program.
  • Zoological Society of Milwaukee – By providing funding for renovations to exhibits such as the Family Farm and outdoor gorilla yard, the Foundation offers an enhanced experience for visitors from both near and far.
  • Discovery World –Northwestern Mutual Mondays make Discovery World, a fun and educational science and technology center, more accessible to area schools and families by ensuring the attraction is open seven days a week.
  • Milwaukee Public Museum – With the first new permanent exhibition in more than a decade, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation-sponsored Crossroads of Civilization brings the ancient world to life.
